Essential Qualification: Graduate in Commerce with a minimum of 2 years experience of handling accounts in any organization.
Desirable Qualification: Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Accountancy / Company Law / Finance / Business Management. Experience of scrutiny and evaluation of working bills, ability to maintain accounts and balance sheet with broad awareness of General Financial Rules (GFRs).
Job Requirement: To assist the Director and Administrative Officer of the Regional Centre on all matters relating to finance and accounts, budget, balance sheets, finance committees or any other duties assigned by the Director from time to time.


Post No. 8: One Lab-cum-Field Attendant

Essential Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Working experience in any research laboratory or S&T institution.
Job Requirement: To attend the duties prescribed by the Regional Centre for running the laboratory and other non-technical work assigned in the experimental field.


General Conditions:

The maximum age limits will be as follows:
Post No. 1: 50 years
Post No. 2: 40 years
Post No. 3 to 5: 35 years
Post No. 6: 40 years

Relaxation of age in respect of special categories/sports persons under Govt. of India notifications / guidelines will be applicable.


Persons with physical disabilities will have age relaxation up to 5 years.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH, if applicable, will be in accordance with the orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
The above positions are purely on contractual basis and emoluments are fixed. The positions will not be entitled to any allowances over and above their fixed emoluments.
The tenure of the above contractual positions at present will be up to March, 2014. The tenure may be shortened or extended as per requirement.
The candidates appointed against these contractual positions will not have any claim for regular appointment at IBSD Regional Centre, Gangtok, Sikkim or IBSD, Imphal or DBT, New Delhi.
The date for determining the age limit/experience/qualifications shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of applications.
The period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work wherever prescribed shall be counted with effect from the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum educational qualification for that group/grade.
Applications from the candidates working in Government departments, public sector organizations, autonomous institutions and government funded research agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel and with a clear certificate that there is no vigilance case pending/being contemplated against him/her and that the applicant will be relieved within one month of receipt of the appointment order. However, applicants may send an advance copy of the application along with requisite fee (wherever applicable) before the last date of receipt of completed application.
Only outstation candidates, called for interview, will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare/ordinary bus fare from the normal place of their residence or from the actual place of undertaking the journey, whichever is nearer to the place of interview.
No hostel/housing facility is available with the IBSD Regional Centre at Gangtok, Sikkim at present.
The Institute will have the right to cancel/modify any of the above positions.
The Institute reserves the right to engage any person for any position, if found suitable, even if he/she has not applied for the position.
Candidates having experience of working in North East India will get weightage during selection.

Essential : i) Degree (at least high second class) in Textile Manufacture/Technology from a recognised university ii) At least 5 years experience in a position of responsibility in the production of textiles. Desirable: i) Post-graduate Degree in Textile Manufacture Technology ii) Some experience in the standardization of specification for textiles.


3.Field officer – Group B (2 posts - 1 UR , 1 OBC)

Age limit: 22 to 28 years. 
Qualification & experience: Essentials: i) At least 2nd Class postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Commerce or Business Management. Desirable : i) Should be able to express himself in fluent manner and possesses a knack to established rapport with people for collecting information ii) Some experience in data collection.


4.Quality Assurance Officer (EP & QA) – Group B (5 posts – 3 OBC, 2 UR )

Age limit: Not exceeding 25 years. 
 Qualification and experience: Essentials: i) Degree / Diploma (at least second class) in Textile Manufacture / Technology from a recognised university/Textile Institute Or Diploma (at least second class) in Handloom Technology from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi / Salem. ii) At least two years of experience in a position of responsibility in the production of textiles.


5.Quality Assurance Officer (Lab) – Group B (1 post reserved for ST)
Pay Band + Grade Pay: Rs.9300 – 34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2). 
 Age limit: 21 – 27 years. 
Qualification & experience: Master’s Degree in Science or Technology. Or First or Second Class Bachelors in Science or Technology with Four years experience in textile testing and analysis. Or First or Second Class Diploma in Textile Chemistry or Technology with 6 years’ experience in Textile Testing and analysis.


6.Accountant – Group B (3 posts – 1 SC, 1 OBC and 1 UR ) 
 Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.9300-34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2). 
Age limit: 25 – 30 years. 
Qualification & experience: M.Com or at least Second Class in B.Com of a recognised University with experience of 4 – 5 years in accounts work in Government or commercial concerns.


7.Junior Quality Assurance Officer (Lab) – Group C (2 posts – 1 OBC and 1 UR ) 
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Rs.2800 (PB – 1). 
Age limit: 19 – 25 years 
Qualification & experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technology Or First or Second Class Diploma in Textile Chemistry Or Technology with 2 years’ experience in Textile Testing and analysis.


8.Junior Statistical Assistant – Group C (1 post reserved for SC)
