Name of the Posts:-

1. Serviceman-V (Welder/ Structural Fitter/ Fitter/ Machinist/ Carpenter)-Posts-165

Pay Scale: Rs. 6000-12570


Age: Max 26 years as on 1.3.2010


Qualification: Passed 10th / Madhyamik / Matriculation. ITI/NCVT (All India Trade Test) in the relevant Trade.


Experience: 2 years of working experience in the respective discipline.


Selection:
The selection methodology for all the disciplines will comprise of the Written Test, Trade Test and Interview. Those candidates short listed in the Written Test will be required to appear for the Trade/Practical Test and Interview. Assessment of the candidate will be made on the allotment of 100 marks out of which 30 marks will be alloted for Written Test, 50 marks ffor Trade Test and 20 marks for the Personal Interview. The candidate must secure minimum qualifying marks i.e 50% marks in Written Test & Trade/Practical Test as also clear the Interview to qualify for inclusion in the merit list of sucessful candidates for the notified posts. Additional weightage amounting to maximum 4 marks out of 20 allotted in the Personal Interview, will be given to the son/ward of Retired/retiring GRSE Employees. The merit list will be appeared on the basis of total performance. reference for a pre-employment Medical Examination does not mean final selection which may also be noted.


Fee:
All the candidates are required to remit an Application Fee of Rs. 50/-. However, SC/ST/OBC/PH are exempted from the fee. Application Fee must be remitted by way of Non-Refundable account payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd.”.


How To Apply:
Typed application in English or Hindi in Block Letters on an A-4 Size paper with all enclosures should reach General Manager (HR & A), Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd., 43/46, Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-700024 within 6.5.2010. Candidates must attach photocopy of certificates, duly attested by Gazetted Officer, in support of their qualification, age, experience, Employment Exchange Regn. Card, Caste Certificate, Disability Certificate etc. along with the application The OBC Candidates need to attach Non-Creamy Layer certificate along with caste certificate issued by the competent authority. A recent passport size coloured photograph duly attested by Gazetted Officer/College Principal/Headmaster of High School/Pfficer-In-Charge of Police Station, should be affixed on the top right hand corner of the application. Candidates serving the Govt. Sector must apply through proper channel. In case, the applicant sends an advance copy of the application, a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer is to be produced at the time of the Interview, failing which his/her candidature for the post will not be considered. Applications are to submitted in an envelope super scribing the post applied for.
