 Eligibilty : Master’s or equivalent degree from an Indian University recognized by the University Grants Commission under the subjects mentioned above with minimum 55%(without grace or rounding off) for General & OBC candidates; 50% (without grace or rounding off) for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates and Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination were completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result). A candidate who is appearing or has appeared in the final year of Master’s Degree or equivalent examination, in the subjects mentioned above, during the session 2010-2011, can also apply for the test. Such candidates shall be admitted to the test provisionally. They shall be considered eligible for Lectureship, if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the Master’s Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and submit their Master’s Degree Examination Mark sheet within two year from the date of the SET Examination in which the candidate has appeared, failing which certificate will not be issued to the candidate.

Applications are invited for the Technical Trainee Programme-2010 for entry-level career opportunities available at:

1. Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) where basic plasma physics and domestic fusion program activities are pursued and the Facilitation Center for Industrial Plasma Technologies (FCIPT), a division of IPR, which is engaged in the development and transfer of plasma technologies relevant to industries.
2. ITER-India, a specially empowered project within IPR, to deliver India’s commitments (involving state of the art technology and R&D) towards International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) being constructed at Cadarache, France, under an international partnership agreement.

Training & Stipend: The course is compulsorily residential and the selected candidates shall stay at the accommodation provided by IPR. The training comprises of lectures, laboratory and project work. During training period the trainee will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 12000 (likely to be revised) and a one-time book allowance of Rs. 5000.
