Applications are invited on prescribed form obtainable from the College office on all working days (Mon to Fri) for the following posts of Assistant Professors. The application form can also be downloaded from the website of the college www.ststephens.edu and submitted to the college.

Eligibility criteria, essential qualifications and pay scales are as per the rules of the University of Delhi/University Grants Commission.  




 Qualifications:



  • Good academic record with at least 55% marks (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PH candidates/for those holding Ph.D. degree who are already in the University system and have obtained Master’s degree prior to 1991) or an equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale at the Master’s level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.


  • Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC. However, those candidates who hold a Ph.D Degree (in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009) in the concerned subject are exempted from NET
General Conditions:


  • Posts reserved for physically handicapped candidates will be filled before other posts.


  • Candidates already in service must apply through proper channels.


  • The College reserves the right to call a limited number of applicants for interview based on their qualifications.


  • The College reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts and not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised.
