Civil Services Examination 2010


UPS will hold the Civil Servises (Preliminary) Examination , 2010 on 21.05.2010 for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Aervice , Indian Foreign Service , Indian Police Service and certaion other Group "A" and Group "B" Central Services / Posts . The exam will be held at various centres across the country.


Eligibility Conditions

Age Limits : 21 to 30 years as on 01.08.2010 (Relaxable as per rules)

Educational Qualification :Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the Appendix-III of Rules for the Civil Services Examination , 2010 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 02.01.2010

Number of Attempts : The maximum no of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants , who areotherwise eligible , will be as follows.

1. General Category - 04
2. P.H. Candidates belonging to General Category - 07
3. Other Backward Classes - 07
4. SC / ST - No Limit.

Application Fee:Rs. 50/- payable in form of Central Rectt. Fee Stamps only to be fixed on application form. No fee for Female / SC/ST / Physically handicapped .

Last Date for receiving application : 01.02.2010
08.02.2010 (For Candidates from far-flung areas)


Complete applications with enclosures should be sent to the Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.


Application Form : : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examination which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice published in Employment News / Rozgar Samachar ) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- . Each such form can be used only for one exam.
